Growing Our Community Spaces
Thanks to the generous support of thirty donors, the Qianxun Performing Arts Center opened its doors to the IMS community in January 2025. This new gathering space has quickly become the heart of our campus. The space is named by former trustee Limin Kong in honor of her daughter, Qianxun “Tiffany” Zhao ’23.
State of the Art Facilities to Match Our State of the Art Programs
Theater
Our faculty have performed on stages across the world, from New York City to Sao Paulo. The Qianxun Performing Arts Center gives our young stars a stage to perform on that matches their caliber and talent.
Music
Music is an integral part of student life at IMS. This new space provides the acoustics, lighting, and size necessary for our talented musicians to shine their brightest.
Dance
Dance empowers our students to feel their best. This Qianxun Performing Arts Center allows them to showcase their talent to larger audiences on a much grander scale.
Visual Arts
This new community space gives both our new and advanced artists the opportunity to plan, create, and showcase their work in a gallery space fit for their designs.
The Impact
Danny Tieger
performing arts director
“This is so powerful for students who identify with the performing arts. They feel like their passion is elevated and supported by the choices of the school and the generosity of the donors.”
Macie Blue '25
Performer
“The arts have brought me a sense of community, and have given me a chance to try so many new things besides performing, like designing costumes and working with audio. I’m so excited for the Performing Arts Center and how it will bring more opportunities for bigger productions.”
Jayden Lee '23
Musician
“I believe that for students who already have a passion for music, their passions will be magnified by this new facility. And for those, like my younger self in sixth grade, who may not have felt a strong connection to music, this could be the spark that ignites a newfound interest and passion.”
Alexis Gay '06
Comedian & Entrepreneur
“The drama program at IMS was a big part of the reason I believed I had something to offer as a performer.”
