Isabel Slokar has spent her career teaching lower school students at Independent Schools. She grew up in New York City and received her B.A. from Bates College and her M.S. Ed. in General Childhood Education from Bank Street College of Education. Isabel has taught at Poly Prep Country Day Lower School, St. Hilda’s & St. Hugh’s, and The Nightingale-Bamford School in New York City as well as Ascham School in Sydney, Australia. Isabel and her husband Tony and their son Luka (IMS ’32), live in the Berkshires with their two dogs and love traveling as often as they can.
