Charles is thrilled to be making a return to the admissions office at Indian after a five year hiatus. Previously at IMS, Charles served as Dean of Faculty, English teacher, three sport coach, dorm parent in Upper Doolittle and Stockton, and the Associate Director of Admissions. After departing IMS, Charles taught middle school English and history and was Director of the Men’s Mentoring Program at The Children’s Storefront in Harlem, NY. After his time in Harlem, Charles served as the Associate Director of Admission at Westtown School in West Chester, PA. Most recently, Charles spent four years teaching middle school humanities at The Kildonan School in neighboring Amenia, NY. He received a M.S. Ed. in School Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania in 2014. Charles, his wife Lisa, and their three daughters Gates (2029), Charley, and Barrett live in Salisbury.

What excites Charles most about this next adventure is the opportunity to give back to a place that was so pivotal in shaping him as a young educator and getting the chance to share that with his daughters!
