Prior to joining IMS as our Director of Communications, Ms. Benson was a senior school administrator in New York City, working in admission, marketing, and communications roles. Ms. Benson also worked for more than 20 years in the TV industry as a director, producer, and writer, for networks like CNN, The History Channel, and Food Network. She earned her B.A. in English Literature from Augustana College and received her M.A. in Broadcast Journalism from Emerson College. Ms. Benson is also a dorm head, yearbook editor, and advisor. She lives on campus with her husband and their three children.
