On Sunday, November 4, IMS swimmers traveled to The Hotchkiss School to participate in the 24th Annual Swimathon to support the Northwest CT Special Olympics swim team and Special Olympics Connecticut. More than 200 people from 10 different schools swam laps and raised money and awareness.

Of the event, IMS Director of Student Health and Wellness Lauren Frankenbach said, “The Special Olympians at the event are always overjoyed to see people gathering to swim laps on their behalf.” Student participation in this event is voluntary and our students’ attendance is a testament to the importance of our school’s founding motto, Life Through Service. Money raised will benefit the The Northwest Corner Special Olympics Swim Team. To learn more, visit the GoFundMe page.
