Alex Weyerhaeuser teaches 9th grade Applied Biology and English and is excited to bring her interdisciplinary environmental background to the 9th grade sustainability project. She grew up in Cambridge, MA and earned her B.A. in Environmental Studies and a certificate in Education Studies from Yale University in 2020. After college, Ms. Weyerhaeuser moved to Chicago, where she worked for a non-profit focused on sustainable food and agriculture. She then returned to graduate school and recently received a Master’s degree in Environmental Management from the Yale School of the Environment, where she became increasingly interested in the intersection between science and humanities. She lives on campus in Stockton Dorm, is a dorm parent in Lower West, and will be involved in campus sustainability initiatives, advising, and coaching cross-country. In her free time, she loves to run, teach yoga, read, write, and cook.
