Dear Friends of IMS,

As we reflect on the 2023-2024 school year, we are filled with gratitude for the generosity that has enabled us to climb to new heights and continue building a bright future for IMS. Thanks to your unwavering support, we have experienced record-setting growth for the fourth consecutive year, allowing us to enhance our programs, expand our facilities, and provide an exceptional experience for our students. Together, we are making IMS a place of possibility, wonder, and bold ambition.

Your support has been nothing short of transformative. For the third year in a row, we have surpassed $1.1 million in our Annual Fund—a critical pillar of our financial foundation. Over the last five years, our 1922 Leadership Society has more than doubled and total philanthropic support has increased by 235%. Thanks to your generous support, we are climbing higher than ever before and impacting students’ lives in meaningful and lasting ways.

The impact of your philanthropy is visible across our campus. This summer, we added a solar array to the Morehead Athletic Center’s existing geothermal system, making it our second net-zero building and marking an important milestone in managing our carbon footprint and considering our impact on the environment. At the same time, we’ve made tremendous progress on our new Performing Arts Center, which will soon become a hub for creativity, talent, and community gatherings. This state-of-the-art space will serve not only our music and performing arts programs, but it will also host our daily morning assemblies—a cherished tradition where we gather as a community to begin the day together.

Your contributions have also allowed us to dream bigger and climb higher as we look to the future. Our next capital project will transform our current Assembly Hall into a vibrant new Dining Commons that will foster a greater sense of community, connection, and belonging for all students. We will also expand our Health Center to include a Wellness Suite and create larger classrooms, further enhancing the wellbeing and educational experience of our students.

None of this would be possible without you. Every step forward is made possible by your belief in IMS. Your support is the engine driving our continued progress, from supporting our Annual Fund to advancing strategic priorities like financial aid and sustainability. With your help, we are creating an even brighter future for IMS, one where every student is encouraged to reach for new heights and every challenge is met with and supported by the courage to climb higher.
