Sammi D’Angelo (she/her) teaches Ninth Grade Applied Biology and Ninth Grade History: Power and Justice at IMS. She enjoys helping students explore the connections between science and history, believing that each field gives deeper meaning to the other and that both shape the world around us.

Sammi graduated from Hamilton College with a degree in Physics and was inducted into the History and Italian honor societies at Hamilton. At IMS, she shares her passion for global problem-solving by co-leading the Model United Nations program with Caitlin Vaughn.

Outside the classroom, Sammi is an active part of student life. She serves as a dorm parent and Co-Director of Weekend Activities with Chris Littler, helping to create a fun and supportive residential experience. She also leads the Boarding Council to ensure students’ voices are heard. On the sidelines, she coaches Varsity Basketball and JV Lacrosse, finding joy in the teamwork and energy of sports.

A couple of fun facts: Sammi enjoys calligraphy and often puts her lettering skills to use at school events. She also spent time working at Walt Disney World — so she knows a bit about creating magic through teamwork. Whether in the classroom, on the court, or planning weekend adventures, Sammi is grateful to be part of the vibrant IMS community!
