On The Pitch
Both our boys and girls soccer teams have continued to find success on the pitch over the past few weeks.
The Varsity Girls Soccer defeated Housatonic Valley Regional High School on October 19th with goals from Molly Ford, Genesis Villegas, Yaps Yapi, Emma Ohler and Lyyli Stern. In addition, the JV Girls Soccer team cruised to a 4 to 0 win versus Berkshire Waldorf on their home turf.
The Boys Varsity Soccer team defeated rival Rumsey Hall school 8-3 on the road on October 15th. Goalie Jose Jimenez had two huge saves on penalty kicks to keep the Falcons handedly in the lead. The Falcons will rematch Rumsey under the lights at Hotchkiss School for their annual night games on November 11th at 6:00 p.m.
On the Trails
The Mountain Biking Team is looking forward to hosting our first home race of the season in the near future. The Falcon Flight is scheduled for Wednesday, October 27, at 3:30 p.m. The mountain biking race course utilizes our trails on the mountain and is a challenging and technical course for our athletes to race. The team will be racing against Kent School, South Kent School, Hotchkiss School and Berkshire School’s mountain biking teams.
On the Court
The Junior Varsity Volleyball Team competed in a competitive match at Oakwood Friends School where they started out strong, winning a close first set. They later lost the second set and were defeated in the third match after a point for point battle. Dana Chung and Ryan Seelenbrandt contributed strong serves and in her first volleyball match ever, Tiffany Zhao received and returned the ball well over the net.
