Spring is finally here and not a moment too soon. With music blasting, students enjoyed water slides, dunk tanks, food, bouncy houses, and beautiful sunshine for the first annual Spring Fest.

Spring Fest is a departure from what had been traditionally referred to as “Headmaster’s Holiday.” While the spirit of the day has remained the same, the philosophy behind the event has seen a shift. The local community is now encouraged to attend as a way to build a more inclusive relationship and to extend the IMS community even further. On a slightly different note, we like to believe that more people equals more fun when it comes to water slides and bouncy houses!

This philosophical shift is one that has been observed with other events as well and is all thanks to the vision of our Residential Life Office. We talk a lot about inclusion at IMS, so it is only natural that we open our campus even more to the local community when planning such events. If you missed Spring Fest this year, do not worry. Fall Fest will be here before you know it!
