On Wednesday, May 5, the junior varsity tennis team celebrated Cinco de Mayo with an impressive win against Washington Montessori.  IMS athletes played nine contests, winning eight matches and tying one.

There were two excellent matches.  Ryan was given a run for his money by Washington Montessori’s number one player, and Skye was also challenged by her opponent.  The remainder of the matches were dominated by the Falcon players.

In doubles, Kevin came alive with a serve that grazed the service box as it went sailing by his opponents. Ken and Min Chan kept their opponents on their toes on the way to controlling each of their matches.  The Falcon players displayed excellent teamwork during doubles play, and the IMS coaches thought it was a terrific afternoon for the team.

IMS plays their next game against Rumsey on Friday.
